Scaling happens on metal surfaces when the water
comes in contact with the metal surface. It is
basically a mineral coating that deposits unevenly
around the metal affecting the heat transfer thereby
increasing the energy cost. It has been observed
that even a small amount such as 7 mm of scaling can
increase energy costs by 70%. Since scales are good
conductors of electricity, these deposits act as
anode and the metal as cathode. This causes
electron-exchange between the scale and the metal
causing an ideal set-up for corrosion.
PPE presents DESCALE 201 , one of
the most effective scales removing chemical from
radiators, engines, pumps, etc. It helps improve the
overall performance of the metal and stunts the
corrosion build up along the metal surfaces.
